Lakeside Yoga

Whether you’re looking for something more adventure seeking, like stand-up paddleboard yoga on the lake itself, or something more serene like yoga on the shore, Lake Okanagan offers a beautiful atmosphere and backdrop for those wishing to enter a state of Zen. Eldorado Resort has weekend Lakeside Yoga to enjoy the breathtaking views, or if you’d prefer the SUP yoga, there are numerous classes available in Kelowna., including through Okanagan Lifestyle and the Kelowna Yacht Club.

Set Sail

Speaking of traditionally ocean activities, Kelowna is also home to quite a few sailboats and sailing classes! If you've ever dreamed of gracefully gliding across the sparkling waters of Lake Okanagan, then learning to sail in Kelowna is your gateway to a captivating aquatic journey. With its idyllic setting and warm water, Kelowna offers an ideal environment for beginner sailors to embark on this timeless nautical pursuit. The Central Okanagan Sailing Association has classes that allow you to learn the art of handling the sails and immerse yourself in the lake’s beauty, under the guidance of skilled instructors.

We couldn’t fail to mention what so many of lake inhabitants get up to on Lake Okanagan. Whether it’s water skiing, wakeboarding, wake surfing, tubing, or numerous other water sports, Lake Okanagan is the perfect place for it. The warm water and huge area make Lake Okanagan the best for any crazy water sports. Kelowna Wibit

Have you heard of the Kelowna Wibit? Well if you walked around in Kelowna’s City Park, you have probably seen it! Splash BC Water Parks has an unreal 150-person floating playground right here in Kelowna. Anyone 5+ can run, jump, climb, swing, and slide around on this amazing inflatable playground right on Lake Okanagan. If you’re wanting a unique way to play around in the water, the Kelowna Wibit certainly takes the cake.

Sunset Cruise

If you want to experience the epitome of Okanagan lake life, a cruise right before sunset is the way to go. Rent our very own Premium Pontoon or Spirit of the El cruiser and hit the water. Visit our friends at Frind Winery across the lake, where you can dock your boat and stop in for a tasting. Then depart back just in time for the golden hour to melt into a beautiful sunset. Why didn’t anyone think of this? Oh wait, we did! Add a sunset cruise amenity if you wanted to make sure you have some delicious snacks along the way as well!

Scuba Diving Hotspots

Did you know that there are a handful of scuba diving associations in Kelowna? Well if you’ve always wanted to delve into the underwater world with scuba diving adventures, there is no shortage of scuba diving classes in Kelowna through Diving Dynamics or Double Arrow Dive Company. While we may not have the corral reefs of the ocean, you may be surprised at what you find in the Okanagan waters!

Hitting the Dog Beaches

If you are one of the many pet owners in the Okanagan, you know that no summer adventure is complete without our furry friends. So swimming at a local dog beach is a must! Your pets will love playing fetch in the water and splashing around on a hot summer day. If we can offer any of our favourite lakeside, off-leash dog parks, we would highly recommend Gellatly Dog Beach in West Kelowna or Cedar Creek Park.
